If you are planning to build a battery-powered sensors, the 3.3v pro mini is a good choice. You won't need a regulator for the radio when using this version. Make sure your attached sensors also can run on 3.3V or buy a step-up regulator

This is probably the cheapest module. You can connect 5V sensors directly but for powering the radio you'll also have to buy a step-down regulator
